Outstanding Old Delhi Walking Food Tour! - Reviews, Photos - Indian Food Tours in Delhi - TripAdvisor

“Outstanding Old Delhi Walking Food Tour!” https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g304551-d3879008-r444996513-Indian_Food_Tours_in_Delhi-New_Delhi_National_Capital_Territory_of_Delhi.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT This was without a doubt one of the main and most enjoyable attractions during our entire visit throughout India! Our host and guide Rajeev was superb and the food was outstanding! This was a full 4 hour walking tour, making your way down the busy streets and alleyways of Historic Old Delhi. Many of the restaurants and vendors whose food we tasted have been around for 75 years or more. Without a proper guide, you would be hard pressed to find or attempt to eat at this outlets. This business is very professional, insisting only at stopping at eateries that ensure proper food handling and preparation. For those who love tasting local food and experiencing the local culture, then you simply must make time in your schedule and take one of their food tours. Raj is an excellent presenter, easygoing and funny, and you always feel you're in good hands. Terrific for all (adult) ages - there were 5 20-year- olds in our group of 7, and my wife and I are in our 60's. (And: first tour we were on in India that did not pressure us to buy stuff.) A must do experience - Reviews, Photos - Indian Food Tours in Delhi - TripAdvisor

Tripadvisor Review: “A must do experience” https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g304551-d3879008-r446145853-Indian_Food_Tours_in_Delhi-New_Delhi_National_Capital_Territory_of_Delhi.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT My husband, Aidan and I went on a full day old and new Delhi food tour. Raj and his wife are excellent tour guides. Not only do they know the best places to eat but they explain how to taste the food which makes the experience even more enjoyable. We ate the most amazing food, we are both food lovers and was worrying about eating some street food by ourselves, Raj took us to clean and traditional places to eat. My personal favorites were the breakfast curry, short bread biscuit type, the wonderful ice cream and the last place for the chicken tikka is out of this world. Don't want to give to much away but if you love food I would definitely recommend going on the full day tour you won't be disappointed. Food Tour in Delhi

http://gonetraveling.me/delhi-food-tour/ We booked a street food tour with Food Tour in Delhi (Ranked #7 out of 224 activities in New Delhi on TripAdvisor) I liked the foods we sampled but honestly noting really blew my taste buds away. Was expecting food being prepared by simple means, popular with the locals (like the street food Rick Stein’s sampled when he visited to India in search of the true India flavours). Most places we visited are established vendors, except a couple local ‘out there’ vendors. However my taste palate is not that of everybody’s. I would recommend this food tour because it is a great way to explore Old and New Delhi, and try things you otherwise would have not tried. I loved the organic ice cream, the walk to the roof tops of the spice trade markets, and letting the busy streets offer me a glimpse of what old-time England could have worked like.

Delhi Food Tour at Delhi - Events High https://www.eventshigh.com/detail/Delhi/62177b78ab39a5d8ae4c6bba5eed8f98-delhi-food-tour?src=ecbox This food tour is a food walk and city tour in one compact package which is a great thing to do if you have 5-6 hours to spare. The guests discover the culinary delights of Old Delhi and New Delhi from some of the most famous food joints of the city. Some of them have been in business for more than 100 years. In addition to food, the guests also get the chance to see a number of hidden corners of the city which normal tourists don't really know about. The itinerary and food items included can be tailored to suit the dietary requirements of the guests. During the food walk, guests visit 8-10 food joints and taste 18-19 different dishes including one full fledged meal at the end. None of the food items included are too spicy but can be made if so desired. In Old Delhi we walk for short distances and use cycle rickshaws for longer distances. Once the guests are finished with Old Delhi, we get in to the car to explore New Delhi and it's food. During the tour, we also visit a few attractions of the city like the biggest spice market in city, a charitable kitchen feeding thousands of people every day and a few others. This is a perfect introduction to India and Indian cuisines for first time as well as regular visitors. Events High

Jaipur Food Tours & Travel Packages

Sightseeing & Food Walks in Jaipur http://jaipurfoodtour.com The walled city of Jaipur can be described in two ways for Jaipur tours, inside the walled city and outside the walled city. Both offer extravagant sights, tastes and sounds which are similar yet diametrically opposite to each other. In Jaipur travel packages, we include sightseeing and city walk tours of the city starting with the City Palace. A full palace complex which houses the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal, this is one of the best architectural master pieces in India and forms a vital part of all Jaipur tours. It is from this palace that the heroics and legends of the valiant Rajputs were seeded. The Palace walls are witness to the awe-inspiring history of the Rajput grandeur and elegance. Peacock Gate, the main entry edifice to the Palace is one of the most beautiful attractions of the city. The walled city is also known for its authentic Rajasthani food which in itself is a brand ambassador for the grandeur of Rajasthan. One of the more famous dishes of Jaipur is Kota Kachori which is served with mint sauce. Another famous snack is the Khasta Urad Dal Kachori. Eating the Kachori accompanied with a glass hot tea (chai) will give you an exact idea about taste of the Jaipur street food.

Udaipur Food Tour

Food Walks in Udaipur http://www.tripadvisor.in/Attraction_Review-g297672-d6865308-Reviews-Udaipur_Food_Tour-Udaipur_Rajasthan.html Part of the food walk involves walk in old traditional markets of Udaipur to visit some essential food joints while we drive to some places which are too far away. All the expenses inclusive of cost of food, transport and entry fee for monuments is included in the price charged, so the guests don’t have to pay anything extra. A large number of varied dishes with their origins in Mewar region of Rajasthan and neighbouring state of Gujarat are included in walk. Each dish is sourced from the most famous and most reputed food joints operating in Udaipur for decades and in some instances, multiple generations Some examples of the delectable food included in the food walks are Mirchi Vada, different types of Kachauris with different stuffings, Onion Samosas, Daal Baati Choorma the signature dish of Rajasthan and many others from places like Jagdish Mishthan Bhandar, Paliwal and many others. All of this is a mixture of some great street food as well as food from air-conditioned places where you can sit in relative peace and quiet to enjoy the flavours. Meat is a part of traditional Rajasthani cuisine and is represented by the iconic Laal Maans, a type of mutton curry. But Mewari cuisine of Udaipur is rather famous for it’s vegetarian food which consists of kachauris, vadas etc. mentioned earlier. #foodtours
