Nankhatai Nankhatai is an Indian shortbread, the name is derived from Persian word 'naan' meaning bread and 'khatai' meaning biscuits. It is believed that nankhatai originated in 16th century in Surat, India. It is made with all-purpose flour, sugar and ghee (clarified butter) or butter. Spiced with cardamom and nutmeg.
